"That dead pop-star, Qeshi Arabolo. You know, with the movies, and the albums and the fashion modeling and all that..?" Qeshi asked, his ears downturned as he looked out over Agoli 5.
"Yes..?" Capel asked, voice croaking. She would never get over Haze, even months after the split. "The one you take name of?"
"...That was me before the tube. I was her."
Capel wasn't sure how to process this. "You were... girl?"
Qeshi shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah, I guess. I had two kids and a husband. Everyone thinks I'm dead... there's some real tin-foil-hat stuff about my disappearance, but..."
"Family..?" Capel asked.
"I could never see them again. Not after what you and I did as Tsu'ghui. So... it doesn't matter. I just thought you should know. I thought maybe it would help you remember who you once were."
Capel's ears lowered, too. She was so confused. "...Capel was nobody. Doesn't exist before tube. Can't exist before tube..."
