Sadness isn't an emotion that Capel processes very well. Confusion is a constant state. The intersection of the two is where she finds herself after Zero Nine escapes again. Currently, she's found her way aboard the Hardspeed with Qeshi, Roy and Haze. Roy and Elza are talking on the bridge. The others are there, but not participating in that conversation.
Haze has been trying to comfort Capel, but Capel is unsure of how to feel about them. After all, her history with Haze is checkered at best.
"So your name was Sydney..." Haze says, brushing some of Capel's hair back around horns and crystals. "That's a pretty name."
Capel looks down. "...and my dad is big important bang bang army man. My sister is monster. I am monster. Sydney not matter. Sydney dead."
"Sydney's not dead, Capel. You are that person still. A good person -- a med student. Second chair cello in your planet's orchestra. A star athlete!"
Capel shakes her head again. "No."
"Sydney's as gone as Qeshi Arabolo," Qeshi says, looking out one of the windows of the Hardspeed at the sea floor which surrounds them. "All Capel and I are is-"
"You took the name Qeshi," Haze reminds him. "Don't forget what made you do that. You didn't want to let go of your old life."
"Capel not want talk about any of this. You all please do a shut up now."
Capel can feel tears coming, and excuses herself from the bridge.
