Ancient Kaiju

The Kaiju roam the galaxy at large and are known for destroying everything from ships to space stations to small moons. They hate noise and light, and feed off of energy -- mostly radioactive. The Garcians, an ancient civilization worshiped them, but are thought to have disappeared thousands of years ago. The Kaiju were dormant for a long time, until first contact, during Earth Year 1954. Nothing was ever the same again. Ultimately, Kaiju DNA was used to create the Tsu'ghui, including Capel. During a medical emergency in some Garcian ruins, Capel began to realize the blood of the kaiju flowed in her veins. She could feel it in the ruins.
